An avian influenza case of H5N1 (HPAI) was diagnosed in a wild bird (1 common buzzard -Buteo buteo) in Varn, Constantine & Elena resort (Varna) - near the Black Sea, Bulgaria.
The tests have been conducted by the Lab of the National Veterinary Services.
In the beginning of the week the Varna regional lab also tested the bird found dead in the “St. St. Konstantin and Elena” resort near Varna. The test showed positive results for the H5N1 virus.
