Turkey will export eggs to the U.S.

15 February, 2025

The Egg Producers Central Union of Turkey has announced a preliminary agreement to export approximately 15,000 tons of eggs to the U.S. by June. U.S. egg imports rose by 38 percent in December compared to the previous month due to a shortage of table eggs caused by bird flu outbreaks across the country.
Turkey last exported eggs to the U.S. in January 2023. The current deal involves pre-packaged shipments, primarily medium-sized eggs, which are preferred for long-distance transport. The agreement remains within Turkey’s planned export volume and will not impact domestic prices.
