Long Island duck farm hit with avian influenza
22 January, 2025
A Long Island farm is set to euthanize more than 100,000 ducks following a bird flu outbreak at the eastern New York facility. The affected farm is Crescent Duck Farm, located in Aquebogue, New York, and is a family-owned operation. Crescent Duck Farm is the largest commercial duck farm in Suffolk County and one of the last remaining commercial duck farms on Long Island, an area historically known for its extensive duck farming industry.
