British Lion Eggs invests £1M in trust for marketing
In January 2024, a significant £1 million marketing campaign will kick off to highlight the advantages of British Lion eggs. Endorsed by the Food Standards Agency (FSA) for safe consumption in a runny state for all age groups, the initiative will convey messages of trust and inspiration through compelling content. This content will be disseminated by popular social influencers, safety and nutritional experts, and media partnerships.
The campaign introduces an @egg_recipes TikTok channel, targeting the 28.9 million monthly UK users, with 42% being parents. Additionally, the @egg_recipes Instagram account, witnessing an 18% growth to 88,000 followers in 2023, will complement the outreach.
The launch follows the FSA's official alert on the food poisoning risk linked to Polish eggs, prompted by an increase in Salmonella cases.
