Australia: 3rd Victoria poultry farm hit with HPAI H7N3

A third poultry farm (egg farm) has declared an outbreak of avian influenza in Victoria. Hundreds of thousands of chickens are being euthanized. The first infected property near Meredith is confirmed to have the H7N3 strain of avian influenza, and the second infected property near Terang is confirmed to have the H7N9 strain. One additional property in the Meredith area has now been confirmed as an infected property. This new infected property is located within the current 5 km Restricted Area in the Golden Plains Shire. Tests have now confirmed the highly pathogenic H7N3 strain of the avian influenza virus at the property.
