South Dakota: HPAI detected in dairy herd

The South Dakota Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources (DANR) and the state's Animal Industry Board confirmed through testing the presence of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) in a dairy herd within South Dakota, marking a significant first for the state. With this detection among South Dakota dairy cows, the tally of affected states now stands at eight.
