EU Clears Brazil’s Egg Export Pre-Listing System

The Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA) has welcomed a significant development: the implementation of the pre-listing system for egg exports to the European Union.
The new pre-listing arrangement enables Brazil to directly designate and approve establishments authorized to export eggs to the European Union, in accordance with technical standards mutually agreed upon with EU authorities. This follows last week’s decision by the European Union to reinstate the same system for chicken meat.
Brazil is one of the EU’s largest external suppliers of poultry meat, particularly frozen chicken cuts and processed products.
