Dechra sells Avishield® poultry vaccines to Vaxxinova
The Avishield® portfolio, comprising eight products currently manufactured and marketed by Dechra in 29 countries, will transfer to Vaxxinova. The transaction also includes Dechra’s poultry vaccine R&D team of 24 staff based in Zagreb, Croatia, along with its associated product pipeline. Financial terms were not disclosed.
This acquisition strengthens Vaxxinova’s position in the poultry vaccine market. To ensure a smooth transition, Dechra will continue manufacturing and distributing Avishield products on behalf of Vaxxinova for two years, during which technical transfer to Vaxxinova’s facility in Italy will occur. Additionally, Dechra has agreed to lease its Zagreb R&D site to Vaxxinova for three years.
Vaxxinova, a member of the EW Group, is a global animal health company specializing in autogenous and registered vaccines for poultry, aquaculture, cattle, and swine.
