Avian influenza in Victoria, Australia

Agriculture Victoria is responding to the detection of avian influenza at eight poultry farms in Victoria. Seven properties near Meredith have been infected with the highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) strain H7N3. Additionally, a property near Terang has been infected with the HPAI strain H7N9. A comprehensive surveillance program is in place in the restricted and control areas to detect these viruses.
