Ochratoxicosis

Ochratoxicosis

Ochratoxins are nephrotoxic mycotoxins produced by 2 genera of storage fungi, these being several species of Aspergillus, predominantly A. ochraceus and one species of Penicillium, P. verrucosum. The images are taken from a severe case of ochratoxicosis in geese and broilers in Israel, after feeding a shipment of imported corn in 1991.
