The Netherlands: 63,000 hens to be destroyed

Dutch authorities ordered the destruction of 63,000 broiler breeders after avian influenza was discovered at a poultry farm in the northern province of Friesland. Almost a quarter of a million birds have been destroyed in the Netherlands during this year deu to avian influenza.
