South Korea says fourth avian influenza case confirmed

A fourth case of avian influenza has been discovered in South Korea. The case was diagnosed at a duck farm in Asan.
South Korea confirmed in November its first case of the H5N1 strain in about three years.
South Korea has slaughtered more than 1.13 million poultry during its three previous outbreaks in November and December in an attempt to keep the disease from spreading.
About 5.3 million birds were slaughtered in the last known outbreak in South Korea in 2003.
