Egypt: New case of human avian influenza infection

Egypt 23 June, 2007 A four-year-old Egyptian boy has tested positive for H5N1 avian influenza virus, raising the total human cases of infection in the country to 37, the boy victim, Emad Mohamed el-Daramalli, from the Upper Egypt province of Qena. He developed symptoms on 20 June and was admitted to hospital on 21 June. He is receiving treatment and is in a stable condition.
